One of the my least favorite things to do is write about myself. But here goes nothing. Having a visual eye runs in the family. My dad spent countless hours in the bathroom developing film. We would always be his test subjects making us stand in front of his camera. As I got older, he taught me how to shoot and develop my own film. My brother, loved to “shoot things in the moment” and became a photojournalist. He would always carry a camera around. Every time I would hang out with him, he would stop whatever he was doing take a photo and continue on. It would be annoying after a while if you hung out with my brother. And me? I like to capture things in motion so I became a cinematographer.
Oddly enough my first experience in video was that I was asked to capture a funeral for a friend. After she watched the video she said “wow, that was really good” as she was crying. This steamed my passion to continue to share my vision with others. I want to bring my ideas and vision to life and show the world. My mom says I'm good and I think she is probably right. Being able to express myself visually and carry a big heavy camera around is fun to me.
